Activities

Users can add the following activity types to the course topic.

  1. Assignment

    To add an assignment, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Activities tab and select Assignment.
    • On the Editing Assignment screen, configure the following settings.
    General Settings
    Name Description.
    Assignment Name* Enter a short and suitable assignment name.
    Description Enter the assignment description.
    Activity Instruction Enter the Activity Instructions.
    Additional Files Drag and drop or upload additional files.
    Only show files during submission Check or uncheck the checkbox.
    Availability
    Name Description.
    Allow Submissions from Specify a particular date and time. Enable or disable it by clicking on the checkbox.
    Due Date Specify a particular date and time. Enable or disable it by clicking on the checkbox.
    Cut-off date Specify a particular date and time. Enable or disable it by clicking on the checkbox.
    Remind me to grade by Specify a particular date and time. Enable or disable it by clicking on the checkbox.
    Submission Types
    Name Description.
    Submission Types
    • Enable the Online Text to be able to type text directly into an editor field for the submission and vice versa
    • Enable File Submissions to allow students to upload more than one file as submissions and vice versa.
    Maximum Number of Uploaded Files Specify the maximum number of files a student can upload
    Maximum Submission Size Specify the file size limit.
    Accepted file types Mention the file types that can be uploaded.
    Feedback Types
    Name Description.
    Feedback Types
    • Feedback comments: If enabled, the marker can leave feedback comments for each submission.
    • Offline Grading Worksheet: If enabled, the teacher will be able to download and upload a worksheet with student grades when marking the assignments.
    • Feedback Files: If enabled, the teacher will be able to upload files with feedback when marking assignment submissions. These files may be but are not limited to, marked-up student submissions, documents with comments, or spoken audio feedback.

    Note: This option becomes accessible when the first one is enabled.

    • Student must make a submission.
    Expect completed on Click the ‘Enable’ checkbox and enter the date, month, and time. A specific timeline to complete an activity can be set by enabling this setting.
  2. Choice

    To add an assignment, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Activities tab and select Choice.
    • On the Editing Choice screen, configure the following settings.
    General
    Name Description.
    Choice Name* Enter a Choice Name.
    Description Provide a suitable description of the choice.
    Display description on the course page Enable the checkbox to view the choice description on the course page.
    Options
    Name Description.
    Allow Choice to be Updated Select either Yes or No
    Allow more than one choice to be selected Select either Yes or No
    Limit the number of responses allowed Select either Yes or No
    Option 1*

    Specify the options for participants

  3. Interactive Content

    To add an Interactive Content, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Activities tab and select Interactive Content.
    • On the Editing Interactive Content screen, configure the following settings.

    Display description on the course page Enable this setting to view the description on the course page below the activity link or the course page.

    Grade to Pass Add a which will be the minimum grade required to pass
    Maximum Grade Enter a number that will be the maximum grade a student can score.

  4. Quiz

    To add a Quiz, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Activities tab and select Quiz
    • On the Editing Quiz screen, configure the following settings.
    General
    Name Description.
    Name* Enter a name for the quiz activity
    Description Provide a suitable description for the quiz activity.
    Display description on the course page Enable the checkbox to view the choice description on the course page.
    Timing
    Name Description.
    Open the quiz Enable the setting by clicking on the checkbox and specify date, month, year, and time. This date and time determine the time the quiz will be open for students.
    Close the quiz Enable the setting by clicking on the checkbox and specify date, month, year, and time. This date and time determine the time the quiz will end.
    Time Limit Enable the setting by clicking on the checkbox and specify the number of weeks, days, hours, minutes, or seconds to complete the quiz.
    When Time Expires

    Select either of the following

    • Open attempts are submitted automatically
    • There is a grace period when open attempts can be submitted, but no more questions answered.
    • Attempts must be submitted before time expires, or they are not counted.

    Later, while the quiz is still open

    This setting enables learners to review their answers while the quiz is not yet submitted/closed.

    This setting enables learners to review their answers after the quiz is closed.

    The options here are checked by default and cannot be unchecked.

    This setting determines the number of decimal places used while displaying the grades.

    Extra Restrictions on Attempts
    Name Description.
    Require Password This setting allows adding a security step by mandating students to enter a password before attempting a quiz.
    Overall Feedback
    Name Description.
    Grade Boundary Specify a grade boundary and specific feedback is visible after obtaining that grade.
    Feedback Enter the feedback text.
    Add 3 more feedback fields Click on this button to add three additional feedback fields.
    Common Module Settings

  5. Read and Acknowledge

    To add a Read and Acknowledge activity, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Activities tab and select Read and Acknowledge
    • On the Editing Read and Acknowledge screen, configure the following settings.
    General
    Name Description.
    Name* Enter a suitable name for the activity
    PDF Description Enter the PDF description
    Choice Description Enter the choice description
    Display Choice Description on Activity Page Enable the setting to view the descriptions on the Activity page
    Content
    Name Description.
    Select Files* Drag and drop or manually upload files in the designated section.
    Appearance
    Name Description.
    Show Size Check the setting to display the file size.
    Show Type Check the setting to display the file type.

    To add a SCORM Package, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Activities tab and select SCORM Package
    • On the Editing SCORM Package screen, configure the following settings.

    Name* Enter a name for the SCORM Package
    Description Provide a suitable description for the quiz activity.
    Display description on the course page Enable the checkbox to view the choice description on the course page.
    Package
    Name Description.
    Package file Drag and drop or upload the SCORM package file in XML or ZIP format.
    Auto Update Frequency

    Select either of the following to set the auto-update frequency of the SCORM package

  7. Simple Certificate

To add a Simple Certificate, follow the steps below.

  • Click on the Activities tab and select Simple Certificate
  • On the Editing Simple Certificate screen, configure the following settings.

Certificate Name* Enter a name for the certificate
Introduction Enter a text describing the certificate
Design options
Name Description
Certificate Image File Drag and drop or upload files in the specified file formats into the designated area.
Certificate Text Enter a text to be mentioned on the certificate.
Certificate Back page

Enable Certificate Back Page Select either Yes or No
Certificate Back File image

Drag and drop or upload files in the specified file formats into the designated area.

Note: Users can upload files in the ‘Enable Certificate Back Page’ is enabled.

Certificate Back Text Enter the required text to be shown as the certificate back text.
