Resources

Users can add the following Resource types to the course topic.

  1. File

    To add a file, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Resources tab and select File.
    • On the Editing File screen, configure the following settings.
    General
    Name Description.
    Name* Add a suitable name for the file
    Description Add a brief description of the file
    Upload Drag and drop or manually upload the file into the designated area in the prescribed file formats only.
    Appearance
    Name Description.
    Show Size Check the setting to display the file size.
    Show Type Check the setting to display the file type.
    Show Upload/Modified Date Check the setting to display the uploaded or modified date
    Display Resource Description Check the settings to enable the display of resource descriptions.
    Common Module Settings
    Name Description.
    Availability

    Select either of the following

    • Show on Course Page
    • Hide on Course Page
    ID Number Enter an ID number as a unique identifier for an activity for grade calculation purposes.
    Restrict Access
    Name Description.
    Add Restrictions Refer to the Restrict Access section.
    Activity Completion
    Name Description.
    Completion Tracking

    Select either of the following

    • Do not indicate activity completion
    • Students can manually mark the activity as completed
    • Show activity as complete when conditions are met
    Require View

    Enable or disable the following

    • Student must view this activity to complete it
    • Show as complete when the user makes a choice

    Note: Visible only if ‘Show activity as complete when conditions are met’ is enabled in Completion Tracking.

    Expect completed on

    Click the ‘Enable’ checkbox and enter the date, month, and time. A specific timeline to complete an activity can be set by enabling this setting.

    Note: Visible only if ‘Students can manually mark the activity as completed’ is selected in ‘Completion Tracking’.

  2. Folder

    To add a Folder, follow the steps below.

    • Click on the Resources tab and select Folder.
    • On the Editing Folder screen, configure the following settings.
    General
    Name Description.
    Name* Add a suitable name for the file
    Description Add a brief description of the file
    Content
    Name Description.
    Files Refer to the standard file upload and folder creation process detailed in the Appearance section.
    Show subfolders expanded Check this setting to show the subfolders expanded default and vice versa.
    Show download folder button Check this setting to display a download button to download the folder contents in a ZIP file.
    Force download of files Check this setting to display images and HTML files in the browser instead of downloading.

    Name* Enter a suitable name of the page
    Description Enter a brief description of the page if required.
    Display description on course page Enable this setting to view the course description on the Course Page and vice versa.
    Content
    Name Description.
    Page Content Add a write-up in the designated area as the page content.
    Appearance
    Name Description.
    Display page description Enable this setting to enable the page description display.
    Display last modified date Enable this setting to view the last modified date.

    • Click on the Resources tab and select S3 Video.
    • On the Editing S3 Video screen, configure the following settings.

    Name Description.
    Name* Enter a suitable name for the S3 Video
    Description Enter a brief description of the video
    Display description on course page Enable this setting to view the video description on the Course Page and vice versa.
    Content
    Name Description.
    External URL* Enter the URL link into the designated area.
    Choose Video from S3 bucket Click on the button and select a video from the S3 bucket.

    • Click on the Resources tab and select TI Document Viewer.
    • On the Editing TI Document Viewer screen, configure the following settings.

    Name Description.
    Name* Enter a suitable name for the S3 Video
    Description Enter a brief description of the video
    Display description on course page Enable this setting to view the video description on the Course Page and vice versa.
    Content
    Name Description.
    Files Refer to the standard file upload process and associated functionalities detailed in the Appearance section.
    Appearance
    Name Description.
    Show Size Check the setting to display the file size.
    Show Type Check the setting to display the file type.
    Show Upload/Modified Date Check the setting to display the uploaded or modified date
    Display TI viewer Description Check the settings to enable the display of TI viewer descriptions.

External URL* Enter the URL link or click on the Choose a link button
Display description on course page Enable this setting to view the URL description on the Course Page and vice versa.
Appearance
Name Description.
Display URL Description Enable this setting to view the URL Description.
URL variables
Name Description.

Enter the URL parameter in the text box and choose a corresponding site variable from the available dropdown option.

Note: Users can enter up to five URL parameters and its corresponding.
