Choice

To add an assignment, follow the steps below:
  1. Click on the Activities tab and select Choice.
  2. On the Editing Choice screen, configure the following settings.
    General
    Name Description.
    Choice Name* Enter a Choice Name.
    Description Provide a suitable description of the choice.
    Display description on the course page Enable the checkbox to view the choice description on the course page.

    Options
    Name Description.
    Allow Choice to be Updated Select either Yes or No
    Allow more than one choice to be selected Select either Yes or No
    Limit the number of responses allowed Select either Yes or No
    Option 1*

    Specify the options for participants

    Note: Users must enter at least 1 option.

    Add 3 field(s) to form Click this button if more than 8 options are required

    Availability
    Name Description.
    Allow responses from Enable or disable the setting by clicking on the checkbox. Specify a particular date and time if enabled.
    Allow responses until Enable or disable the setting by clicking on the checkbox. Specify a particular date and time if enabled.

    Results
    Name Description.
    Publish Results

    Select either of the following

    • Do not publish results to students
    • Show results to students after they answer
    • Show results to students only after the choice is closed
    • Always show results to students
    Privacy of Results (not visible if Do not publish results to students is selected)

    Select either of the following

    • Publish anonymous results, do not show students' names
    • Publish full results showing names and their choices
    Show column for unanswered Select either Yes or No
    Include responses from inactive/suspended users Select either Yes or No

    Common Module Settings
    Name Description.
    Availability

    Select either of the following

    • Show on Course Page
    • Hide on Course Page
    ID Number Enter an ID number.
    Group Mode

    Select either of the following

    • No Groups
    • Separate Groups
    • Visible Groups

    Restrict Access
    Name Description.
    Add Restrictions Refer to the Restrict Access section.

    Activity Completion
    Name Description.
    Completion Tracking

    Select either of the following

    • Do not indicate activity completion
    • Students can manually mark the activity as completed
    • Show activity as complete when conditions are met

    Require View

    Enable or disable the following

    • Student must view this activity to complete it
    • Show as complete when user makes a choice
    Note: Visible only if ‘Show activity as complete when conditions are met’ is enabled in Completion Tracking.

    Expect completed on

    Click the Enable checkbox and enter the date, month, and time. A specific timeline to complete an activity can be set by enabling this setting.

    Note: Visible only if Students can manually mark the activity as completed is selected in Completion Tracking
